Course Overview
EDC Fundamentals is a foundational course designed for shooters who understand basic firearm safety and want to learn how to safely and effectively carry a handgun in everyday life.
This class introduces the core skills and considerations specific to everyday concealed carry, bridging the gap between basic pistol handling and responsible real-world carry. Instruction is structured, controlled, and focused on building safe habits, confidence, and consistency.
No prior concealed carry experience is required.
What This Class Covers
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of carrying and operating a concealed handgun safely and responsibly.
Instruction includes:
Everyday carry safety considerations
Holster and belt fundamentals for concealment
Understanding concealment garments
Establishing a safe and consistent grip from concealment
Step-by-step draw stroke fundamentals
Trigger control and recoil management for defensive distances
Accuracy standards for everyday carry
Safe, deliberate re-holstering procedures

Classroom & Dry Practice

Draw stroke breakdown using dry practice
Live Fire Training
First-shot fundamentals from concealment
Controlled follow-up shots
Accuracy at realistic distances
Close instructor supervision and individual coaching
Live fire is structured and deliberate, with an emphasis on building correct habits before adding speed.

Equipment Required
Semi-automatic handgun in good working order
Concealment holster that fully covers the trigger guard
Quality belt suitable for concealed carry
Concealment garment (hoodie, jacket, or button-up)
Minimum of 2 magazines
100–150 rounds of ammunition
Eye and ear protection
Appendix or strong-side carry only. No SERPA-style holsters.
Training Standard
This course is focused on safe handling, correct fundamentals, and confidence-building. Speed is not the goal—clean execution and accountability are.
