The Concealed Carry Essentials course is a 4-week progressive training series designed for responsibly armed civilians who want practical, legally grounded, and realistic concealed carry training.

This is not a one-day info dump. Skills are built, reinforced, and validated over time so students leave with confidence—not just exposure.
Course Format
Duration: 4 Weeks
Session Length: 2 Hours per Week
Total Training Time: 8 Hours
Each week builds on the previous session, allowing students to:
Develop safe habits
Refine technique
Gain confidence through repetition
Ask questions as real understanding develops
Utah Concealed Carry Permit (Optional)
Students will have the opportunity to obtain their Utah Concealed Firearm Permit ONE WEEK PRIOR to the start of the training series.

Course Purpose
This course exists to give students the knowledge, skill, and decision-making framework required to safely and effectively carry a concealed handgun in daily life.
Students will gain:
A clear understanding of when deadly force is legally justified
The ability to draw safely from concealment
Improved first-shot accuracy and recoil control
Confidence handling a firearm under realistic conditions
A grounded understanding of civilian defensive encounters

Training Philosophy
This course is built around evidence-based priorities, not hypotheticals.
Civilian defensive shootings typically involve:

Safety Standards
Safety is non-negotiable.
Strict adherence to firearm safety rules
Instructor confirmation of safe draw capability
No live fire until safety standards are met
Ongoing coaching and correction
Students who are not yet safe drawing from concealment will receive additional dry practice and instruction until standards are met.
Required Equipment
Concealed carry handgun (reliable and serviceable)
Quality holster that fully covers the trigger guard
(Appendix, strong-side, or other concealed positions accepted)
Sturdy belt
2–3 magazines
Magazine carrier (recommended)
Eye and ear protection
Appropriate range attire
Closed-toe shoes
Ammunition
Approximately 200–300 rounds of handgun ammunition total across the series
What This Course Is Not
Not a competition shooting course
Not military or law-enforcement tactics
Not focused on rare or unrealistic scenarios
Not gear-driven or ego-based
This course is about responsible civilian concealed carry.
